Why Scraps of Grace you ask??? Primarily because it is through God's grace that I am able to do what I love...scrapbooking, cardmaking, basically anything that has beautiful paper and embellishments involved. This is also a place to share my work as well as whatever is on my heart. A creative outlet for the mind, body, and soul.

I encourage you to relax, read, and browse a while and I hope that your day will be brightened and blessed by what you encounter.

"A" Side Scrapping

Shimelle's Glitter Girl video from last week inspired me to use a bold pattern "A" side which I normally wouldn't do.  I tend to stick to the more neutral/simple patterns on the "B" sides of patterned paper.  I felt a little out of my element working on this one but that may also be due to the fact that I was scrapping photos of me which I also don't do very often.

Supplies used: Border sticker - Echo Park Paper Co.; Brads - Making memories and My Mind's Eye; Cardstock - Bazzill Basics and The Paper Co.; Chipboard - My Mind's Eye and American Crafts; Die cuts - Kerri Bradford Designs and Silhouette; Glimmer mist - Tatter Angels (Vintage Pink); Ink - Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap); Patterned paper - Echo Park Paper Co.; Rub-ons - Fancy Pants; Sprinklers - October Afternoon (Brown Bag); Stickers - Crate Paper, October Afternoon and Jillibean Soup
My husband took these pictures last year while we were decorating Easter eggs.  He was mostly playing with his new camera but I love how they turned out (which I don't often say).  I used some quite a bit of older product on this one - I've had this Echo Park collection for a long time but I rarely scrap "girlie" stuff so I don't use a whole lot of florals and pinks.  Guess I need to remedy that...

Be blessed!!!

Great page, and I think more scrappers should go back to using the A side - let's turn the trend and the paper around.
