Why Scraps of Grace you ask??? Primarily because it is through God's grace that I am able to do what I love...scrapbooking, cardmaking, basically anything that has beautiful paper and embellishments involved. This is also a place to share my work as well as whatever is on my heart. A creative outlet for the mind, body, and soul.

I encourage you to relax, read, and browse a while and I hope that your day will be brightened and blessed by what you encounter.

Giving to the Grads...

What better way to celebrate the graduates than with cards and a little somethin' somethin' tucked inside.  Here are several of the cards I made for our son, his girlfriend and some of their friends.  We are so incredibly proud of all of them...way to go guys, may all your dreams come true!

Graduation Celebrations

It's official, my husband and I are now the parents of a high school graduate.  Seems a little crazy when we still have two in elementary school but it's true!  Last week was super busy with family in town for the celebrations, a grad open house we hosted for our son, an open house for another graduate, the actual graduation and then dinner with our family, my son's girlfriend and her extended family.  It was a whirlwind of celebrating.

I had a blast making all the decorations for our son's party.  I used his high school colors red, yellow and black for all the decor.

And then there was the food...yummo!

And last, but not least, the gradaute and his very proud family!

Loving Teachers...

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week at the boys' elementary school - and we sure do appreciate their wonderful teachers.  We sent goodies in everyday (based on a theme set by the PTA) and many were wrapped up in scrappy goodness but I failed to photograph them prior to sending them off.  I did, however, scan the bookmarks I made for them and can share those with you.
Supplies Used: Ink - Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink (Chestnut Roan); Patterned paper -My Mind's Eye; Ribbon - Michaels; Stamp - Hero Arts (Watch Gears);Tag - Michaels
I think this Watch Gears stamp is one of my favorites (right now at least).  It adds a little something without cluttering it up.  I've been using it a lot lately.

The hubby and I spent last weekend replacing our family room floors - boy did they need it.   It's amazing how much damage young boys can do to a room's carpeting.  We now have wood laminate floors so I'm hoping they can hold up a bit better to the abuse!

I've also been busy been making the decorations for our son's graduation party this weekend so they'll have to wait to be shared.  I'll take some pictures of the festivities to share what's been occupying my scrap table these days.

Have a blessed day!

The Last of Paris...

I finally got a hold of some of the pictures taken of our Paris themed table at the church Tablescapes luncheon.  I love how it all pulled together.  So much of it was just sitting around my house (or someone elses house) being used for something totally different but cover it all in some pink, silver and black and you get a cohesive look.  Here's the final look at how it all game together.

And here I am...dressed to match our pretty table.  I found this necklace at Tuesday Morning recently and had to snatch it up.
