Why Scraps of Grace you ask??? Primarily because it is through God's grace that I am able to do what I love...scrapbooking, cardmaking, basically anything that has beautiful paper and embellishments involved. This is also a place to share my work as well as whatever is on my heart. A creative outlet for the mind, body, and soul.

I encourage you to relax, read, and browse a while and I hope that your day will be brightened and blessed by what you encounter.

Smile...It's Going to Be a Good Day!

This layout is such a mix of different things from different manufacturers and different time periods but I love how it all pulled together.  The kids are off from school today (a teacher in-service day) and I had big plans to go to the library with them and work on their projects that they have due next week.  Unfortunately, our youngest came home from school yesterday with a fever...again!  Poor guy can't seem to kick the yuckies this go around.  So, we're stuck at home so we don't share the germs with anyone else.  I'm thinking we'll rent a Redbox movie and make a day of it.

Here's my project from this morning...
Supplies used:  Border punch - EK Success; Cardstock - American Crafts; Die cuts - Kerri Bradford Designs; Font - My Own Topher; Ink - ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink (Charcoal, Warm Red & Yellow Citrus), PrintWorks (York Town Blue) & VersaFine (Onyx Black); Journaling Card - Fancy Pants; Patterned Paper - Echo Park Paper Co. (blue background), My Minds Eye (multi-colored X pattern & red and yellow polka-dot) & October Afternoon (red stripe and yellow & gray pattern); Rub-ons - Fancy Pants; Stamps - Studio AE by Technique Tuesday; Stickers - Echo Park Paper Co. (bird & "smile"), Glitz Designs (title sticker) & October Afternoon (yellow scalloped label)

The journaling on this layout is quite personal so I chose to tuck it on a large journaling card and slid it behind the photo mat.  Just the top edge of it is peeking out so you know it's there but it isn't "out there" for the whole world to read.
