Why Scraps of Grace you ask??? Primarily because it is through God's grace that I am able to do what I love...scrapbooking, cardmaking, basically anything that has beautiful paper and embellishments involved. This is also a place to share my work as well as whatever is on my heart. A creative outlet for the mind, body, and soul.

I encourage you to relax, read, and browse a while and I hope that your day will be brightened and blessed by what you encounter.

More Max & Whiskers Fun...

Isn't this a fun layout???  This was last year, obviously towards the end of our camping season since it snowed on us.  Thank goodness for the RV!  I used primarily the "B sides" of the Max & Whiskers kit papers to put this one together...see, you don't have to stick to a pet theme even though that is the gist of this line of papers from Basic Grey.  I love Basic Grey and the distressed look they give all their papers - I added to it by inking up the edges of all my papers too.

So some girlfriends and I were feeling overly brave and took our boys camping over the weekend - we each have two boys under the age of 8 and our husbands were off backpacking (or on a business trip in the case of one friend).  My teenagers chose to stay home but that's okay.  I don't drive our RV which meant I was "roughin' it" in our tent.  Mind you, I haven't set a tent up in 7 years (ever since we bought the RV).  We did it though and had a great time despite the rain.  We camped along the gorgeous Cache la Poudre River and enjoyed a Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia tribute concert at the Mishawaka Amphitheater with all the kids.  We all danced up a storm - literally since it started raining while we were there.  It was fun, fun, fun and I'm so proud of my girlfriends and myself for braving this adventure sans our husbands.  Go girl POWER!!!

Well, you're braver than I am going camping with small children-or at all. I used to go camping years ago. Not sure what I was thinking. :)
I use both sides of patterned paper. It drives me crazy to not use both sides, unless I don't like the other side. I like this layout.
