Why Scraps of Grace you ask??? Primarily because it is through God's grace that I am able to do what I love...scrapbooking, cardmaking, basically anything that has beautiful paper and embellishments involved. This is also a place to share my work as well as whatever is on my heart. A creative outlet for the mind, body, and soul.

I encourage you to relax, read, and browse a while and I hope that your day will be brightened and blessed by what you encounter.

Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge #66

I decided to play along with the Skipping Stones Design sketch challenge this week.  I used a bit of creative freedom on this one but I really like how the card turned out.  There are a lot of men in our family so I have the pleasure of making LOTS of masculine cards for birthdays and such.  I recently recieved the Echo Park Paper Co. For The Record collection and I love the color combinations and elements so much.  I thought they'd be perfect for this birthday card for my brother-in-law.  I mixed in a smidge of Cosmo Cricket Material Girl...seems weird on a masculine card but the red check works great with the colors of For The Record and gives the card a little "pop".

I'm off to help out with the kindies at my son's school today - always such fun to spend time in their classroom.  Be blessed!

Wonderful card. I used to love helping out once a week in my daughter's kindergarten class too. Now she's in high school so I really have to quiz her to know what happened at school; makes me miss the good ole days.
